Swirl Marks, how they happen-
Swirls (Micro Marring) come from any objects having contact with a coated surface. The clear coat added to our vehicles paint, rims, and other parts for protection and added gloss is great! Until it isn’t. Vehicle Washing, Drying, road debris flying in the air, leaning against our cars, wiping bird droppings, etc. Any objects when wiped across the surface of your cars clear coat creates Micro Marring. Over time as they increase in depth and number, they become more visible in the light (especially sunlight and high lumen L.E.D. Lights) Which Brings us to the next question, How can Micro Marring be minimized? -Improved Car Washing Techniques -Touchless Drying when possible -Graphene or Ceramic Coatings -Clear bra, Paint Protection Films, Wraps -Not using fabric auto body covers Overall, the name of the game is cleaning your vehicle with the least amount of pressure and contact possible and having a wrap or coating to further resist scratches and micro marring while making cleaning and maintaining gloss a breeze.
